The Junior Youth Empowerment Program is for youth ages 10 to 15 to provide an environment of mutual support as young people strive to effect positive change in their communities and their own lives.
Today's lesson we learned about the spiritual power joyfulness. We played a fun game called dragon eats the tail and Kris played the song “joy gives us wings”. We prayed, colored, heard a story about Leroy Ioas and ʻAbdu’l-Bahá, and tried to memorize: “O Son of Man! Rejoice in the gladness of thine heart, that thou mayest be worthy to meet Me and to mirror forth My beauty.”
Children and Jr. Youth, enjoyed home cooking and great hospitality of the McCormick family. They also learned new names related to the Baha`i Faith and played for several hours. Adults also enjoyed meeting new friends and socializing with each other. A grate time was had by all!
